There are many coffee producing regions in the Andean mountains of Colombia, all with slightly unique attributes and flavor tendencies. The coffee we've been getting from the Tolima region lately has been unique and exceptional. This offering from the ASOPEP co-op is one such coffee and it really stands out in the crowd.
Our Organic Colombia Tolima is sourced from family owned farms organized around Asociación de Productores Ecológicos de Planadas (ASOPEP), an organization operating within the municipality of Planadas in the department of Tolima, Colombia. On average, each producer cultivates coffee on 6 acres of land and relies on the income from coffee production for a living.
